lyrics
can you find externalizing lines
to hook and climb your way out
can you seek the urgency required
to reach over ‘cause there’s solace somewhere in these piles
I see water when I close my eyes
a version here I don’t despise
waves are breathing down an island drinks
mortified we haven’t followed the links
windy time will forge a certain stamp
wanting as we’re waiting under a lamp
understand opaqueness of the dread
all these machinations
seeking something long gone in my head
breaking the simplicity the clutter suffocates another day
aqua fire steeple face of light
hearing voices trepidation is slight
waves are stealing down an island thinks
cleaning detritus while I sleep a wink
windy time will forge a lonely stamp
calling as we’re waiting in frozen camp

The new live EP by Ryan W. Stevenson's project reminded me, that this debut album must have been gone down the wishlist... If instrumental Canterbury stuff is your thing, this should be a no-brainer. Firmly rooted in the past (late 60s, 70s), nevertheless with a fresh sound. Guests incude The Tangent's Andy Tillison and Soft Machine's Theo Travis. Carsten Pieper
