one thing I should have mentioned to you before we won't go back, oh no and I want to settle down with you trade some cuts in the open blue slacken the knots the masks come off walk on over 'cause I need to see again what if we decide to cut the corners and agree to disagree we don’t need to take it all down and if they want to see that you’re always alright and tight with me well the only way to show it’s gonna be some extraordinary time around city of subdued excitement again frozen camp respirate amplify save the date lost notion maneuver new wider in space spectrum to fix on a frozen face how direct should we be I don’t really know autumn falling, oh yeah throw out the other one and a whole year fighting it you know there's not too much to say

I found you walking in the city talking to your book alone then we went to spin the top above the ground sit inside the serpent dome movin’ on no one is here with us if you could tell me what I’m doing I can still negotiate when we want to wonder as the kids go by fall into a lucid state movin’ on no one is here with us

can you find externalizing lines to hook and climb your way out can you seek the urgency required to reach over ‘cause there’s solace somewhere in these piles I see water when I close my eyes a version here I don’t despise waves are breathing down an island drinks mortified we haven’t followed the links windy time will forge a certain stamp wanting as we’re waiting under a lamp understand opaqueness of the dread all these machinations seeking something long gone in my head breaking the simplicity the clutter suffocates another day aqua fire steeple face of light hearing voices trepidation is slight waves are stealing down an island thinks cleaning detritus while I sleep a wink windy time will forge a lonely stamp calling as we’re waiting in frozen camp

good to see you nineteen seventies afternoon didn’t hear you my headphones dialed in a different hue last we noticed the colors grew and grew and changed the tune believe your goggles keep them clean lavender habit is it all green screen? I see the road and the tree line in my mind so you go and take it with you the market has spoken and I don’t trust it with my life a lifetime of study fifteen seconds of flash and a slogan are you surprised by my acquiescent fly by night? I’ll follow the tree line who lives here? fluorescent blinker a floating tear can you hear the voice? can you feel it through the noise? and go through and choose they said language is a virus but we reside on the other side of syntax no way to get through

the serpent knows your mind hello turbine, a soft new blue line, anointed open up the sky deriving power, describing flower, announcing families as they rise toward sun beaming as one two three four five six tree floor dies allow the fragrant glow twisting halo, the last dark art show is over giving up my gold a scented candle, an old steel handle, we know her breaking bread we silently share water as one two three four five six new door sky black press into the forest I can feel it breathing life into the stone we know we’ll never return leave it open everything can go life death every sleepy morning and the wild cat always looks me in the eye high jump and then I return hear you calling come into the frame

about

“rich harmonic palette….very inventive, very fresh” --Dereck Higgins (dereckvon on YouTube)

"Everything here sounds like it has meaning and purpose, yet the beating heart at its core is far from silent. This is music made with a purpose but anchored with emotion....if you want more of the tasty Jostaberry experience, or have yet to be initiated, dig in." --Kiko Jones (5 blog)

"It covers so much territory (sometimes in one song) and is creative and intriguing from start to finish. If anything, I think I like this one better than the first one, and that one was great." --Gary Hill (Music Street Journal)

"This project was quite an inspiring and invigorating package, and I DO mean package: the goodies you’ll find inside never seem to quit. Highly recommended!" --Divide and Conquer

Hello Turbine is the second album from Bellingham’s Jostaberry (pronounced “yostaberry”). As with the first release (Greener Grass), this is an eclectic collection of unconventional tracks that jump between and fuse genres. At the heart of each track is a focus on rich harmony and catchy melodies, along with quirky and introspective lyrics. Each song was first released publicly as a video over the course of a year, seven of them home-made by Jostaberry, and one by animator Ryan Rothaus.
